Ludlow Town paid for their lack of concentration when they faced a pacey and skilful Willenhall at the Coors Stadium on Tuesday, losing their Midland Alliance encounter 4-2.
Willenhall were two up inside the first five minutes, the first coming from a 30-yard strike from John Quilt and the second from a disputed corner when Mike Creight-on rose majestically to head home.
To Town's credit they dug deep to get back into the game but on 20 minutes Quilt scored his second following a miskick.
Town put together some fine moves without success and then just on half time Willenhall were flattered by a fourth goal by ex-Town player Matt Webb.
A rejuvinated Town hit back after the break and two goals from Andy Jones, one a penalty and the other after beating four defenders, gave some hope. But al-though they put Willenhall under long periods of pressure Town could not add to their total.
