LUDLOW Assembly Rooms is casting its net wide in a search for a someone who wants a chance to make a difference to the town's lively arts scene.
The Ludlow & District Community Association, which runs the Assem-bly Rooms, is inviting applications from the people of Ludlow and the surrounding area for a post on its board.
The ideal person could have legal skills and/or be a keen fund-raiser, said acting director Paula Redway.
"We're not looking for people who are after personal glory but for people who are prepared to do some work," she warned.
One essential qualification for the voluntary, unpaid post is to be available for at least six Tuesday evening meetings during the year. Any applicant must be a member of the Community Association but that can be arranged at any time at the Assembly Rooms box office.
Applications should reach Paula by 5pm next Thursday and should include a summary of the would-be director's CV and how they can help, in no more than 1,000 words. A nomination from another member of the Association is also necessary.
She can be contacted by e-mail on paula@ludlowassemblyrooms.co.uk for queries from would-be applicants.
Members will make their choice at their AGM, on October 15. The meeting starts at 7pm.
