Woofferton 4 Weston 1
WOOFFERTON celebrated their first Hereford Times Herefordshire League Premier Division home match of the season with a good team performance to make it a win and two draws in three starts.
The hosts took the lead when a long throw in from Tim Moriarty was flicked on by Neil Crump to Jamie Marsh whose drive flew into the top corner.
Mid-way through the half Woofferton suffered a set back when their goalkeeper David Cooper was forced to leave the field with a broken finger.
The visitors capitalised as Woofferton reorganised, and pounced on a defensive mistake to equalise.
Woofferton gradually started to dominate and regained the lead through Crump.
With their tails up Woofferton soon bagged a third goal and man-of-the-match Gower completed the scoring when he headed home from Moriarty.
