Tenbury 204-7 Knighton-on-Teme 205-3
MARK Evans slammed a superb undefeated century to guide Knighton to victory when they entertained neighbours Tenbury in a very competitive friendly local derby.
Tenbury skipper Ollie Tyler elected to bat, and thanks to a fine 77 from opener Chris Giles, and with useful contributions from Alan Taylor (20), Steve Giles (29) and Mark Yarrington (18) the visitors posted a competitive total of 204-7.
Knighton made a disastrous start when veteran Bob Gittins was run out without facing a ball.
But then Robin Salmon, with a swashbuckling 48, and Evans, who dispatched the Tenbury bowling to all parts, enabled Knighton-on-Teme to reach their winning target with almost eight overs to spare.
