A 19th century painting worth £1,000, depicting The Buttercross in Ludlow, has been stolen from one of the town's arts shops.
The watercolour was taken from Beaux Arts, in the Bull Ring, sometime in the week up to July 21.
Eighteen inches by 24 inches, the work showed a woman in a long dress, holding a basket, in the foreground, looking at The Buttercross from Broad Street.
It was signed M Dyas - a woman painter who exhibited in Shrewsbury during the 1890s.
Police want anyone who is offered the painting or with information about the theft to contact them on 08457 444888.
