ED Williams, made a rare appearance and featured with bat and ball as Castle won their home Banks's Shropshire Division Two fixture.
He made top-score of 64 when he opened the batting after the visitors had won the toss, featuring in stands of 47 with Richard Whately (12), and then 61 with Richard Fifield (17) as they reached 108-1 of 29 overs.
Wickets then tumbled but Jonathan Price (22) and Steve Morris (19) added 33 off 27 balls for the fifth wicket to leave them on 171-8 off 45 overs.
Williams took a wicket to support Morris who took 3-55 to make inroads into the Cond-over reply. Steve Barker (28) batted steadily but the bowling of Simon Palmer 3-9 saw the Castle home.
