CLEOBURY Mortimer golfer Kim Simm will do what many club golfers can only dream about when she competes in the inaugural final of the Health Perception Championship of Great Britain and Ireland, at Wentworth on Thursday, September 25.
She earned the right to compete at the renowned course, venue of the World Matchplay and Volvo PGA Champion-ships, when she posted a magnificent 41 stableford points to win the regional final at Enville Golf Club.
Kim only started golf just over two years ago and has already reduced her handicap to 19 and a place in the silver division.
Last season she won the award for the most improved lady golfer at Cleobury Mortimer, and makes no secret of the fact that she is totally hooked on the sport and plays at least four times a week.
Another perk on offer at Wentworth will be that the winner of the grand final will be invited to compete in the prestigious pro-am preceding the 2004 Weetabix Women's British Championship at Sunningdale.
