I NOTE with interest the front page article in the Tenbury Advertiser, July 3, entitled Tennis Courts Row is no Love Match.
Whereas the Tenbury Town Council has once again voted to take Tenbury Tennis Club to the small claims court to recover the sum of £108, which the Town Council says it is owed. I would ask what's holding them up, seeing as the council voted for this course of action months ago. Why the delay?
Bearing in mind, this one issue more than any other has brought about the present situation where the Town Council at the behest of Councillor Griffiths and his cronies, have all but destroyed a once-thriving sports club, much respected in the town. It makes sense to put the matter in front of an independent arbiter, in the form of a judge.
I urge the Town Council to proceed to court and seek a judgment on its claim, but would advise the council that I will be first in the queue seeking - no, demanding - certain councillors' immediate resignations if the decision should go in favour of the Tennis Club.
So what are you waiting for Councillor Griffiths, get on with it, and let's see a turkey voting for Christmas.

Berrington,
