SO Cllr Griffiths didn't like the Festival. This comes from a respecter of culture. Readers should remember that he was one of the gang of two who wanted to stop a grant to the Assembly Rooms as it was a waste and they didn't need it (obviously a culture vulture!).
Has Cllr Griffiths ever been to the Assembly Rooms and seen the diversity of its programmes ? As for the Festival, I have seen both plays this year and have enjoyed them both.
I admit that they are not the best I've seen, that was last year with the Merry Wives of Windsor and certainly not the worst (Macbeth 2001). I can say that with all certainty, having seen and paid to see every production since 1971, unlike Cllr Griffiths who presumably saw this year's production under a Town Council freebie.
I suggest that Cllr Griffiths takes his "miniscule brain" (his description not mine) and does what he does best, self publicity by sitting on the Castle Square, allegedly over Christmas, although no-one I've spoken to remembers seeing him or stopping cars parking on the market square.
As for the Welsh Company at the Festival, Diolch yn fawr for two great years. Hope to see you next year.
