CHILDCARE provision for working parents in the Cleobury Mortimer area has received a boost thanks to a big cash windfall.
Bright Kids Nursery Group, which runs a nursery at Cleobury, has won a £12,000 grant from Shropshire's Early Years Development Childcare Partnership as part of a budget to benefit before and after school care for children in rural areas. The aim of the grant is to support a diverse range of out of school hours childcare and Bright Kids Nursery will be using the money to develop breakfast clubs, after school clubs and holiday playcare schemes.
The news is expected to be greatly welcomed by busy, working parents in Cleobury Mortimer and the surrounding areas, where demand is believed to be high. Children can now be dropped off at Bright Kids in the morning, offered breakfast and take part in creative learning and play activities, until they are escorted to school, by professional trained staff.
At the end of the school day, after school care is offered in the same way. The opening hours will be from 7.30am to 6pm.
