CLOVER CLUB: It was a warm sunny evening for our visit to Eaton Woodlands and were welcomed by the owners, Gerald and Sheila Goode. The active members of the club were treated to a walk in part of the wood, while Gerald explained the art of forestry. While this was taking place, the other members just relaxed and took part in a quiz, the answers all being the name of a sweet or chocolate - there were some really amusing answers! Then, for the barbecue - all prepared by Sheila, spare ribs, beefburgers, sausages, all served with salad, followed by strawberries and cream. Refreshing drinks were served all evening. Sheila was warmly thanked for all her hard work. A raffle took place, where one of the prizes was a walking stick, donated by Mrs. Roberts of Bishops Castle and won by John Tulley of Craven Arms. Our next event is a day out at Aberdovey on Wednesday, July 9.
