QUESTIONS are rolling in ahead of a meeting in Ludlow at which Royal Mail representatives will be quizzed about their new pricing regime.
Businesses with queries about PiP, or Pricing in Proportion, under which postage is charged according to size, are invited to send in questions ahead of the meeting at The Bull Hotel on September 19 at 5.30pm.
The meeting has been called by Ludlow Chamber of Commerce and is also expected to include businesses from Tenbury Wells and Leominster. Richard Demynn, manager of Royal Mail in Ludlow, will be there with a colleague.
Graeme Perks, president of the chamber of commerce, explained: "Several weeks into the new postage charges, the Ludlow chamber is keen to resolve any issues by working with business and Royal Mail.
Businesses are invited to attend the meeting to ensure things are running smoothly, well before the busy Christmas post period."
There are several ways in which businesses can lodge their questions. They can contact Mr Perks on gperks@meadowdesigns.co.uk or on 01584 856562. They can also write to the chamber c/o Meadow Designs, Church Farm Workshops, Stanton Lacy, Ludlow SY8 2AE. Alternatively, they can leave a message at Price's the bakery in Castle Square.
Mr Perks added: "Any advance notice of questions would be really useful so that Royal Mail can be better placed to inform. Even if you can not make the meeting, we could ask the question on your behalf."
