LUDLOW Town Football Club are hosting a “Joel’s Wish” charity six-a-side football competition at their SBS Stadium headquar ters on Sunday in memory of Joel Lawrence.
The event was staged for the first time last year and proved to be a great success with Church Stretton Veterans surprising their younger opponents by winning the competition.
The family event will include a female and “fun football” category as well as the main competition, with the money raised on the day going to Sever n Hospice in line with Joel’s family wishes.
Re gistration will take place at 10am and there will be a fee of £20 per team entered. For details call Molly on 07772 207017.
On Monday, Town will be holding a re gistration evening for their summer six-a-side competition starting at 7pm. The club are looking to run a separate veterans over-35 section this term, and need to recruit teams at both agegroups.
