LUDLOW Town’s players are gearing up for next week’s visit from League 2 Hereford United.
Jamie Pitman’s United will be ar riving at the SBS Stadium next Tuesday (7.45pm kick off) for their opening pre-season game.
Ludlow boss Mike Seaborne last weekend held his first preseason training session with the Shropshire County Premier League side.
The retur ning Chris Breakwell, who was playing for Tenbury last season, took part in the session.
“It will be a bit of a rush to get our players fit for next week but everyone at the club is looking forward to the Hereford game,” said Seaborne.
“We won’t be as fit as Hereford but I hope our players can give a good account of themselves.”
Hereford’s players resumed training last Wednesday.
United have just signed a couple of players.
Much-travelled striker Delroy Facey, the Grenada international, has ar rived at Edg ar Street and former Yeovil central defender Stefan Stam has signed a two-year deal.
Seaborne added: “It’s always special playing against Football League opposition and I am told that Hereford will be bringing a strong side up to Ludlow.”
