A SOUTH Shropshire school has appointed a new headteacher.
David Gajadharsingh has taken over as head of Bedstone College following a teaching career of more than 20 years.
The appointment follows a spell as deputy headteacher at King Edward VI School in Stratford-upon-Avon.
He has a degree in aeronautical engineering and qualified as a physics teacher. He was elected as a member of the Institute of Physics and awarded Chartered Physicist status in 1997.
Mr Gajadharsingh also spent five years as a special constable with Thames Valley Police and has seen success as an international fencer.
