Ludlow Town 1 Ellesmere Rangers Reserves 0
LUDLOW manager Mike Seabourne knows that the team have it all to do on Saturday if they are to make it five clean sheets in a row.
Town once again showed they’re tough to beat by withstanding Ellesmere’s pressure to grab another three points in the Shropshire County League Premier Division.
The winner came 15 minutes from the end courtesy of Sean Evans, pictured right, who got on the end of an Andy Walker through ball to neatly finish.
“It was our fourth clean sheet in a row so it shows we are a hard team to beat,” said Seabourne.
“When you are not conceding, it gives you a chance to win a game.
“Last season we were the top scorers in our league with nearly 100 goals, so scoring has never been a problem.
“Our problem has always been our away form and conceding goals, so I’m happy we’re keeping clean sheets.”
High-flying Ludlow are home to unbeaten Ketley Bank on Saturday and Seabourne knows it will be a tough game.
“They’re stronger this season and are unbeaten in eight or nine games, so they are doing something right,”
he said.
“But we are not conceding at the moment, so if we keep it tight, then we are capable of nicking a goal.”
