WEM carried off The Marston’s T20 Knockout Cup after a successful day at Ludlow Cricket Club.
“It was a good day,” said club secretary Phil Parker. “There were a lot of people who watched the cricket and the weather held out for us.
“It rained just before the start of the first game but it was a good day and helped showcase Ludlow Cricket Club.”
Reman Services posted 117 in Sunday’s final and then Wem got home with four overs to spare.
Earlier, Reman defeated St Georges in the semi-finals, while Wem defeated Newtown.
Meanwhile, Ludlow were due to face Shobdon last night (Wednesday) in the final of the Woodstock Cricket Company South Shropshire Twenty20 League.
Shobdon booked their place in the final after posting 180-7 in 56-run semi-final triumph over Corvedale.
Ludlow Colts and Corvedale were meeting in the third-placed play-off match.
John Newsome, from Woodstock Cricket, was expected to present the trophies.
