TWO young boys lost a mother and a brother in a road collision emergency services say was one of the worst the county has seen in recent years.
Rescue crews worked for an hour to free the four from the wreck of their Vauxhall Corsa on the B4362 at Lucton on Tuesday morning.
Teenager Sam Boughton, of Combe, near Presteigne died at the scene.
His mother Kate died shortly after being flown to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.
The two other boys remain seriously injured.
The incident has shaken the small community where the family live.
