LUDLOW Hockey Club’s men’s second XI hit rivals City of Birmingham for six to register a second win of the season in impressive style.
Having fallen behind to a Birmingham breakaway, Will Allsop finished off excellent attacking play to level before half-time.
The second half was a different story as slick attacking moves led to a Lewis Key brace, goals from Simon Vickers and Sebastian Rees and a second for Allsop as Callum Darrer was named star man.
Under-strength Ludlow firsts slipped to a 10-2 defeat at Bromsgrove but table-topping Ludlow Ladies won 4-0 at Droitwich Spa with doubles from Amy Cookson and Apoline Hayles.
