LUDLOW FC reached the last 16 of the Shropshire Challenge Cup with a 2-0 victory over sister side Ludlow Town Colts in front of a big crowd at Ludlow Stadium.
After a 45-minute kick-off delay due to an absence of match officials, a goal in each half – a sweet strike from full-back Josh Bull and a Jack Marston effort – gave Ludlow victory.
Church Stretton also progressed to the third round with a 5-2 win over Saha Rovers thanks to a Jack Davis hat-trick and a brace from player-manager Dean Richards.
Bishops Castle lost 6-1 to Shrewsbury Juniors, Brown Clee fell 3-1 at Shawbury United under-23s and Clee Hill United beat Wem 4-0.
